Now Hiring - Data Entry Pharmacy Technician - Columbia, MD

Hours:  Pharmacy Operating Hours: Sun - Sat, 7:00am - 11:00pm. Shift will rotate and include evenings and weekends if needed. Staffing structure may fluctuate due to business needs.

The Data Entry Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Print/Sort Labels for filling prescriptions
2. Review and input new, refill, infusion, house stock and emergency pharmacy orders in a timely and accurate manner according to client-specific criteria while maintaining acceptable production quotas as determined by experience and company policy
3. Enter returns/credits into the pharmacy system when applicable
4. Triage and prioritization of received orders (whether phone, fax or eRX)
5. Maintains confidentiality, security and integrity of protected health information
6. Develop proficiency in the utilization of all pharmacy systems (ie document imaging, legacy pharmacy computer operating system)
7. Assist with training of new pharmacy team members

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Professional Experience:

• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy
• PTCB license, a plus
• Experience with Framework Software a must
• Strong knowledge of brand name to generic medication
• Familiarity of SIG codes
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience in a long term care or retail pharmacy environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
